At the moment, our Bielefeld colloquium on organization theory is in its second round. Stefan Kühl recently started with an argument concerning “three sides of organizations”. Signaling and Organization Theory: How Formality Works Beyond Contracts

Good news! The proposal that Hendrik Vollmer and I submitted  to the conference “New Developments in Signaling and Game Theory” has been accepted by the review board for a paper presentation (external link). In our paper “Signaling and Organization Theory: How Formality Works Beyond Contracts” we will explore the potential contribution of signaling to the further development of organization theory.

Political Organizations

Recently, my article “Politische Organisationen” (political organizations) has been published in the “Handbuch Organisationstypen” (handbook of organizational types), edited by Maja Apelt and Veronika Tacke and published by Springer VS in Wiesbaden. Thanks to the editors to get the opportunity to contribute and for their constructive critique!

BKO’s last round in winter term 2011/12

Today, we sound the bell for the last round of our “Bielefelder Kolloquium zur Organisationstheorie” (Bielefeld colloquium of organization theory) in winter term 2011/12. Cristina Besio and Robert Schmidt, two sociologists from Technical University Berlin, speak about organizational innovation as structure and semantics.
In summer term we will be back with an interesting program!
